This understanding of the Torah is essential to comprehending YHVH’s Holiness (His set apart identity) which requires a shift from doing what is right; to fearing YHVH. 

The Torah emphasizes the importance of upholding standards and rebuking wrongdoing among one’s people, but this must be done without hatred or vengeance. True love, according to the Torah, involves correction, change, and holding oneself and others accountable to the Torah’s standards.
