12_Vayechi: (2 of 2) Carry My Bones
In this Torah teaching from ZARABEN.ORG Studios, RC JedidiYah explores the meaning of “he lived,” emphasizing the significance of living a life that declares the Torah. It highlights the concept of two sets of sons created by YHVH: the eternal angels and the sons of man, with the firstborn rights of eternal life initially belonging to the angels. The teaching underscores the importance of obedience and living according to YHVH’s will, as exemplified by Yakov’s life, which endured hardships and trials but remained steadfast in his faith and commitment to the Torah.
Joseph, living the Torah, emphasized the responsibility of fathers and grandfathers to teach it to their children. His promise to his brothers, upheld by Moses generations later, highlights the enduring nature of YHVH’s promise to Abraham, Yitzhak, and Yacob, which continue to bind us today.
